Movado Group signed an agreement to sell 95% of EBEL for US$66.5 million to a group led by Montres Journe SA, with Chanel and Pierre Jacques participating. Movado will retain 5%. Closing is expected in the coming months, subject to conditions; the ownership change has not yet been completed.
The Metro Date Power Reserve Ice Blue receives the new in-house, hand-wound DUW 4701 movement. It offers a quick-set date and up to 52 hours of power reserve. NOMOS keeps the compact 37 mm case at 8 mm thick, with the update improving date setting and the movement itself.
On 6 October, Zenith introduced a one-off DEFY Chronograph USM with a mirror-polished dial. A bespoke USM Haller furniture piece accompanies the watch. The lot is scheduled for auction at Phillips New York on 5 December 2026, with all proceeds, including the buyer’s premium, benefiting Swiss Institute.
