Habring² · Erwin Klassik

Strengths

A small complication revealed by motion rather than a loud design. The Erwin is particularly interesting for someone who likes slim, classic watches and welcomes daily manual winding.

Things to consider

48 hours will not cover the entire break from Friday evening to Monday morning. With 30 m water resistance, the Erwin should not be chosen as an all-purpose pool watch either.

TUDOR · Pelagos FXD GMT

Strengths

A compelling travel GMT for those already happy with textile and fixed bars. Its strongest argument is the independent local hour hand, rather than the aviation insignia.

Things to consider

Fixed bars rule out conventional two-piece straps and a standard bracelet. The bidirectional 24-hour scale does not replace a diver’s minute bezel.
