Sinn · 140 A S Anniversary
The model in detail
Most chronographs put elapsed seconds on a large central hand and leave elapsed minutes to a small counter. The Sinn SZ01 brings both readings to the centre: its stopwatch minute hand travels around a full 60-minute scale. This makes a longer interval easier to read — 37 minutes, for example, appears directly on the main dial. The ordinary minute hand continues to show the current time independently of the chronograph.
The 140 A S Anniversary is an October edition marking Sinn’s 65th anniversary, covered in detail by the press on October 27, 2026. It develops the existing SZ01 rather than introducing a new calibre. The automatic runs at 4Hz, has 28 jewels, hacking seconds and a 46-hour reserve. A second crown operates the internal minute bezel, which can be aligned with the ordinary minute hand to time an interval without starting the chronograph.

© Fratello Watches · SourceThe 44mm case is 15.5mm thick and 46mm lug-to-lug. TEGIMENT hardens the steel surface; black DLC is applied over the prepared substrate, so these are separate treatments. Ar technology reduces moisture inside the case, while D3 concerns the sealing of the controls. Water resistance is rated at 100m. Production is limited to 300 watches. Fratello quotes €5,490 in Europe with a bracelet and additional leather strap; US distributor WatchBuys lists $6,980.
