HYT · S1 Titanium DLC Red
The model in detail
Meet the watch
The S1 DLC Red has a detail you want to examine before its logo: the red line around the display. It really moves inside a glass tube. The boundary between two immiscible liquids indicates hours, while a central hand handles minutes. Reading the time means combining two different displays.
Mechanics move the liquid. Two bellows at the bottom push the fluids through a 0.8 mm borosilicate capillary. There is no electronic screen behind the effect: it is powered by the 352-component hand-wound 501-CM calibre. Power reserve is 72 hours and frequency is 4 Hz.
Black DLC-coated titanium emphasises the red case accents and strap. The composition recalls an instrument panel: colour communicates information while defining the watch’s character. The open architecture exposes the source of its unusual time display.
Details and limitations
Trying it on matters most before buying. The case is 45.30 mm wide, 46.30 mm long and 17.20 mm thick. Even in titanium, this is a substantial object on the wrist. Judge strap fit and clearance under a cuff, rather than a catalogue number alone.

© HYT · SourceThe official price is CHF 64,000 excluding taxes. This Millésime Edition is limited by time, with production stated to run until April 2027. That differs from a numbered edition: the manufacturer does not promise a fixed total quantity.
The S1 includes central minutes, small seconds and a power-reserve indicator. Its spectacle therefore retains the basic instruments an owner needs. In a collection, the main attraction is how it displays time; that is what should appeal before rarity or price enters the discussion.
