The model in detail
Meet the watch
The Artime ART02 does not allow the usual boundary between case and movement. Its titanium-and-sapphire construction was developed as one system: there is no traditional mainplate on which to assemble the calibre. The case participates in its structure. Transparency is therefore connected to the watch’s engineering itself.
The central technical feature is a constant-force remontoir. It periodically supplies portions of energy to the regulating system, reducing dependence on how fully wound the main barrel is. In the ART02, its operation involves a Reuleaux triangle. Two coaxial seconds hands make the process observable: the white hand shows running seconds, while the red hand jumps with every five-second cycle.
The power-reserve indicator is unusual too. A white hand shows remaining energy, while the red hand can be positioned as a reference on the circular scale. The manufacturer connects their meeting after approximately 80 hours with the end of the range in which the remontoir operates under its specified conditions. The important figure is the chronometric reserve—the period of regulated energy delivery, rather than an abstract number of hours.
Details and limitations
The Rostovsky Watches and Cellini version is distinguished by a golden bridge and limited to 12 pieces. For the ART02-TI-CR, Cellini specifies a 39 × 9.5 mm case, hand winding, 3 Hz frequency and 30 m water resistance. The manufacturer’s general ART02 page gives 40 mm, so the special edition’s dimensions here follow its partner’s listing.
