Ressence · TYPE 9 Aqua
The model in detail
TYPE 9 leaves only hours and minutes on the surface. Time is conveyed by a rotating composition: a satellite hour disc moves with the main system while keeping its scale readable. Aqua makes this kinetic scene feel calm. The interest is in the relationship between two moving elements rather than a solitary hand.
Behind the simplicity is ROCS 9, driven by the minute axle of a modified 2892/2 base. This is automatic mechanics with a 36-hour reserve. The purchase is chiefly about a particular way of transmitting and displaying motion. If date, seconds or maximum autonomy matter, TYPE 9's minimalism requires consciously giving up familiar conveniences.

© © Ressence · SourceThe Grade 5 titanium case measures 39 mm across and 11 mm thick. There is no crown: manual winding and setting use the rotating caseback. Try that gesture personally before buying. It shapes daily interaction more strongly than dial colour and will not suit everyone.
The manufacturer specifies splash resistance only. Swimming is outside a sensible use case despite Aqua's sporting colour. The official €16,700 price includes VAT, and the product card directs buyers to retailers. Our view: TYPE 9 is particularly convincing as a compact mechanical design object if its short reserve and unusual controls suit you.
