Lederer · CIC 39 Racing Green

Strengths

The CIC 39 is especially rewarding for anyone who wants to understand impulse delivery itself. Two independent energy paths and hand-finishing provide substance for repeated study, while the 39 mm case retains a classical scale.

Things to consider

Power reserve is 38 hours and water resistance is 30 m. Servicing is performed exclusively at Lederer’s manufacture; confirm allocation and future service arrangements before buying.

TUDOR · Pelagos FXD GMT

Strengths

A compelling travel GMT for those already happy with textile and fixed bars. Its strongest argument is the independent local hour hand, rather than the aviation insignia.

Things to consider

Fixed bars rule out conventional two-piece straps and a standard bracelet. The bidirectional 24-hour scale does not replace a diver’s minute bezel.
