Why it is interesting

A collectible idea with genuine mechanical intrigue and a relatively slim case.

Things to consider

Consider the compact dimensions and the two independent movements when trying it on and planning future servicing.

The model in detail

Two dials do not always mean two movements. Here each porthole covers a separate Sellita SW100: one drives hours and minutes, while the other powers the seconds hand alone.

The architecture creates a distinctive Vianney Halter composition: rivets, twin crowns and asymmetry recall his Antiqua. A separate seconds movement makes the construction unusual, although it does not itself improve the accuracy of the main time display.

The 38 × 44 mm steel case is 8.85 mm thick and assembled from 67 components. Each movement has a typical reserve of around 42 hours and must be wound and set independently.

The Gold edition is limited to 178 pieces. The manufacturer lists CHF 4,950 before tax and a waiting list. The gold-coloured dials do not make the case gold: it is steel.
