Why it is interesting

Triple Split can keep you looking through the back for a long time. Three pairs of split hands require complex coordination, and the multilayer L132.1 shows how much mechanics lie behind a few pusher presses.

Things to consider

Platinum and 15.6 mm thickness call for a careful fitting. The calibre is manually wound. Lange provides the price on request.

The model in detail

On 4 September, A. Lange & Söhne introduced a platinum Triple Split with a grey dial and darker subsidiary scales. Production is limited to 100 pieces. The case measures 43.2 mm across and 15.6 mm thick.

Hand-wound calibre L132.1 records split times simultaneously in seconds, minutes and hours over a 12-hour period. Flyback allows the chronograph to reset and restart in one action. The movement has 567 components and a 55-hour reserve.

Lange first showed the Triple Split foundation in 2018. Platinum and a new palette now join the familiar construction. The most interesting view remains at the back: layers of levers and wheels show why a complex chronograph is worth understanding.
