Bremont Deep Blue: a 500-metre ceramic diver with titanium inside

The Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic Deep Blue watch head weighs 74 g without its strap, with a stated water resistance of 500 m. We examine why the blue ceramic needs a titanium structure and what buyers get beyond the striking colour.

Why it is interesting

The ceramic and titanium combination is the real attraction. But the 50 mm length matters more to comfort than the impressive 500 m on the dial.

Things to consider

The 74 g figure excludes the strap. A 50 mm case length calls for a try-on, and 56 hours of reserve will not guarantee running after a full weekend.

The model in detail

Meet the watch

Deep Blue looks substantial in photographs: a dark case, a broad bezel and raised waves across the dial. Yet Bremont lists the watch head at just 74 g, without the strap. For a 43 mm model with a stated water resistance of 500 m, that is one of the most interesting numbers. It explains the idea better than another story about conquering the depths: build a large watch whose materials help reduce its weight.

The Full Ceramic name deserves a careful reading. There is a monobloc blue ceramic exterior and a titanium container for the movement inside. The unidirectional bezel also has a titanium base with a ceramic insert. The case back is titanium with blue PVD coating. This is a composite construction, so the name does not mean every case component is made from the same material.

The dimensions help assess fit before a try-on: 43 mm in diameter, 50 mm in case length and 13 mm thick. Lug spacing is 22 mm. Low weight alone does not make a watch compact: if the top of your wrist is narrow, the 50 mm length is the first thing to check. The reference discussed here comes on a quick-release black rubber strap.

Details and limitations

Inside is the automatic BB64AH: 25 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, and a 56-hour power reserve. That is useful for a short break from wearing it, but it will not necessarily cover every weekend until Monday without further winding. Knowing this limitation is more useful than treating the word automatic as a promise of uninterrupted running.

The indications remain familiar: central hours, minutes and seconds, with the date on the right. The domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective treatment; the hands and markers contain blue-emitting luminous material. The textured black dial adds depth, while the date makes the sports watch more practical during the working week. The official night photograph shows the luminous layout, but cannot tell us how many hours its brightness lasts.

Water resistance is stated as 50 ATM, or 500 m, with a screw-down crown and a helium escape valve. These are the manufacturer's specifications, not results from our own testing. For an ordinary owner, understanding the condition of the seals and following the instructions matters more than judging the watch solely by the largest number on its dial. A rugged appearance does not replace proper care of water resistance.

Deep Blue is a 250-piece edition, with several strap options offered by the brand. The British product page lists the black rubber version at £6,450 when checked on 12 October 2026. That is a price for the stated market, not an offer from our shop or a final landed price in Uzbekistan. A different strap option should be checked against its own reference.

The strength here is the combination of a substantial diving-watch format, a relatively light watch head and an unusual case texture. The compromises are specific: a 50 mm length, 13 mm thickness, a closed case back and 56 hours of reserve rather than several days. Deep Blue is worth considering chiefly for its construction and visual character; paying extra for scarcity makes sense only after a try-on.
