Citizen · Tsuyosa Small Second
The model in detail
Meet the watch
The small seconds at six changes the Tsuyosa’s character. It frees the centre of the dial, while the blue relief catches light around individual hour markers. There is no date: symmetry takes priority over another aperture. To our eyes, this version makes the strongest case for affordable mechanics with a coherent design.
Inside is the automatic calibre 8322 with a 60-hour power reserve. That is useful when rotating watches during the week, although it may not last from Friday evening to Monday morning. A transparent back reveals the movement. Its role here is daily service; elaborate hand finishing would be an odd reason to buy a Tsuyosa.

Details and limitations
Affordable mechanics has a measurable compromise: Citizen specifies −20/+40 seconds per day. These are specification limits, not our test results for an individual watch. Buyers who check their watch to the second should accept that distinction before purchasing.
At the time of checking, Citizen’s UAE shop lists an offer price of AED 2,124 against a regular AED 2,499, including local VAT. Shipping and import costs into Uzbekistan are excluded. The Tsuyosa Small Second makes sense as a first mechanical watch or a restrained everyday companion: balanced proportions and an identity of its own are its main appeal.
