Raketa · Copernicus 0307
The model in detail
Meet the watch
With Copernicus, you want to examine the hands before reading the time. Two open circles pass over a pale agate centre and a dark aventurine dial. Model W-13-16-30-0307 turns an ordinary hour-and-minute display into a small performance. This dial will stand out among familiar three-hand watches.
The design has a clear idea: the minute-hand circle represents Earth, and the hour-hand circle Jupiter. Their orbital periods around the Sun are approximately in a 1-to-12 ratio, hence the analogy with the hands' revolutions. The watch does not calculate the planets' actual positions. It is an artistic way to display ordinary time, and that is the most interesting way to view it.

© © Raketa · SourceThe main appeal for a movement enthusiast lies under the case back. Calibre 2615 is produced at Raketa's factory in Peterhof; the manufacture states that it makes its own components, including the balance hairspring. That is the fine spring which, together with the balance, sets the running rhythm. Here, Russian origin can be discussed through the watch's construction, rather than merely a dial inscription.
Details and limitations
The 2615 runs at 2.5 Hz, has 24 jewels and bidirectional automatic winding. Its stated average power reserve is 40 hours, with a daily rate of −10…+20 seconds. During manual winding, the automatic unit is disengaged. It is an understandable daily-wear construction, but after two days on a shelf it may need winding and time setting again.

© © Raketa · SourceDo not let the 39.5 mm diameter mislead you: thickness is 15.78 mm and lug-to-lug length 46.88 mm. The front crystal is sapphire, the rear mineral; water resistance is 5 ATM. Before buying, I would pay particular attention to case height under a sleeve and reading time from the circles. For one owner, the striking design may bring daily pleasure; for another, an extra pause at every glance.
Raketa's international store showed €2 600 when checked on 3 October 2026; VAT is calculated after selecting the delivery country. That is the international store's price, rather than a sum-denominated offer for Uzbekistan. I would consider Copernicus for a collection that already includes a comfortable everyday watch: here the purchase is about in-house mechanics and an unusual dial language.
