Why it is interesting

The linear display and restart button give this classical watch an identity of its own. Particularly interesting in a collection already containing conventional automatics.

Things to consider

42 hours calls for regular hand winding. Confirm case material, dial execution and price for the particular version.

The movement in detail

The POWER RESERVE turns its remaining energy into a small two-colour bar. A planetary gear system drives that quiet display. A short line replaces an additional hand on the dial, an appealing solution for someone drawn to restrained classical design.

The in-house calibre 100.2 is hand-wound. It contains 227 components, 26 jewels and a 14.2 mm balance operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour. A button beside the crown disengages time-setting mode and restarts the movement. For the owner, it makes finishing the setting process a distinct, deliberate action.

A sapphire back reveals the untreated German-silver two-thirds plate, engraving and gold chatons. The construction deserves attention alongside the finishing. The main photograph shows a rose-gold execution from the official archive; the current range also includes other versions.

The POWER RESERVE measures 41 × 11.65 mm and provides 42 hours of reserve. After a weekend without winding, it may need resetting. Its attraction lies in the character of its hand-wound mechanism and display architecture; someone prioritising autonomy may prefer another model.
