Why it is interesting

A perpetual calendar and moon phase fit within an 8.1 mm case. That combination makes Overseas interesting from front and back. Switching from gold bracelet to rubber noticeably changes the mood of the same watch.

Things to consider

40 hours of reserve need attention if the watch often stays in a box. After a stop, set the calendar according to the instructions. The cited Vacheron Constantin product page does not give a price.

The model in detail

The anniversary Overseas has an azure lacquered sunburst dial. The white-gold case measures 41.5 mm across and 8.1 mm thick. The set includes a gold bracelet and two rubber straps.

The automatic 1120 QP family calibre combines perpetual calendar and moon phase within just 4.05 mm of thickness. Stated reserve is 40 hours, frequency 2.75 Hz. The calendar accounts for leap years until the Gregorian-calendar exception in 2100, provided the watch keeps running and is correctly set.

It has the Hallmark of Geneva and 5 bar water resistance. The perpetual calendar remains familiar; the anniversary series is new for its azure dial and limited run. Consider it another interpretation of the slim Overseas.
