Nomadic · Dána 141 Black Velvet
The model in detail
Meet the watch
There is no seconds hand on the Dána 141: two hands, four large numerals and an octagonal frame define its dial geometry. This is the Belfast brand’s first move into hand-wound dress watches. Its official model story was published on 28 October 2026. Sales are scheduled to begin on 30 October at 20:30 GMT, or 31 October at 01:30 in Tashkent. At the time of writing, the launch is still ahead; the FAQ promises initial dispatches from 31 October.
Inside is the Swiss La Joux-Perret D101: 18 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz, and a stated 50-hour reserve. In a hand-wound movement, the owner supplies energy to the spring through the crown; there is no automatic winding rotor. This suits the thin case, but reserve does not make a watch automatic: after two days without winding, it will be nearing a stop. Winding before heading out is more practical than relying on wrist movement.
The 316L steel case is 28 mm wide, 39.5 mm long and 8.3 mm thick; the strap fits 20 mm lugs. Its approximately 1:1.41 proportions reference the geometry of a drawing sheet. The main page also gives a length of 39.6 mm in its structured description; here we use the specification table’s 39.5 mm without treating rounding as a separate case version. A rectangular watch’s 28 mm width cannot be compared directly with a round watch’s diameter: case length matters considerably too.

On the Black Velvet version, geometric markings surround a vertically textured centre. The manufacturer calls this a guilloché effect: that does not establish hand engraving with a cutter on a guilloché engine. The raised sapphire crystal has chamfered edges. There are no luminous markings, so hand shape and reflected light help in daylight but cannot provide visibility in complete darkness. The 30 m water-resistance rating also defines its dress-watch character: it is not a sensible substitute for a sports watch for water use.
The UK price is £1,250; the selected black version on an Alran Chèvre strap carries SKU 141-1001-B. The Classic Crocodile name of another strap means an embossed calfskin pattern, rather than crocodile leather. Dána joins the regular collection, although the brand states that only 200 pieces, hand assembled in Belfast, will be available in 2026. That limits annual supply rather than declaring a permanently closed edition. Orders to Uzbekistan require separate consideration of import charges: the UK storefront price is not a delivered cost.
