The model in detail
For its thirteenth Día de los Muertos interpretation, Chopard created a calavera from blue rye straw and eggshell. One artisan spent 160 hours on the dial. The rose-gold case features hand engraving and measures 42.5 mm across.
Hand-wound L.U.C 08.01-L provides 60 hours of power reserve and minute-repeater chiming. Its sapphire gongs and front crystal are machined as one piece. The unique watch is announced for WatchTime New York on 16–18 October; the exhibition has not yet begun at publication.
